WHAT IS THIS PRODUCT?
Wine balm is made from all natural products, mostly Canadian certified organic. A blend of natural fruit nut butters and oils, natural waxes, 100% natural essences and flavours are balanced to a perfect creamy texture. This light and creamy texture has a pleasant taste and will not alter the taste of wine.
The Original Wine Balm Company was created one warm summer evening on a rooftop terrace in Montreal. The sunset created a relaxed environment for splendid wine and fun amongst friends, who would have known that evenings topic of conversation would change red wine drinkers forever!
The founder of the company, who happens to be a dental hygienist, was engaged in the discussion of teeth staining from red wine, and how her friends chose white wine to avoid “wine mouth”. This is how it all started four years ago, the journey to create bigger and brighter smiles.
Along with a passion for teeth, she has a passion for red wine, so having friends drink white wine to avoid stains was not an option. After years of research, trial and error, a natural product was developed to coat the teeth as a barrier to repel the stains without altering the taste of the wine. Finally, Wine Balm was created, time to “wine n shine” my friends!
“A WHITE SMILE NEVER GOES
OUT OF STYLE.”
Wine Balm is 100% natural, taste is very light and subtle, it will not alter the taste of wine.
Cheers and smile big!
How does this product work?
How does this product work?
On the tooth surface there may be some micro etch marks, erosion from acid wear, biofilm (plaque), calculus (tartar), or just some irregularities you were born with. What happens when there are grooves on the enamel, or buildup of calculus, the easier the biofilm will stick to the teeth, thus creating a retention zone for stain causing agents. Also note that the gums may stain too depending on stippling (microscopic grooves), and /or biofilm build up on the gums.
Simply use Wine Balm as you would a balm for lips, use your finger to apply it on your teeth, gums, and lips if desired. This will create a barrier against the acid, tannins and chromogens from red wine. The micro groves and holes will be sealed and smooth, so it won’t be possible for the stains to attach to the teeth. You can discreetly and quickly apply a layer between glasses of wine for optimal protection.
Red wine is one of the most acidic beverage, which ranges between 2.3 to 3.8 pH. The environment the acid leaves in the mouth may cause damage by eroding the enamel. While the mouth is in an acidic state (usually up to 20 minutes after consuming food or beverage which is acidic), more damage will be created if you try to wipe off the stains, so never brush or wipe teeth until the pH is more neutral in the mouth.
